Outpatient & Inpatient Surgery

Since the regulation in the Krankenpflege-Leistungsverordnung (KLV) “outpatient before inpatient”, various procedures that were previously performed on an inpatient basis must now be carried out on an outpatient basis. This means that you leave the hospital on the same day and are on your own.

It is important to us that you can reach us at any time in case of problems, which is why we have organized ourselves accordingly as a team. If treatment in a public hospital feels too anonymous, we are happy to perform the procedure and work closely with your treating gynecologist.

In the case of an inpatient procedure, you will remain in the hospital for one or more nights. Free choice of doctor is linked to a semi-private or private supplementary insurance. At Hirslanden Zurich, patients with general insurance can also be treated as inpatients.
