In case of completed family planning and bleeding disorders, or desire to be free of bleeding, sclerotherapy of the endometrium can be performed.
Under anesthesia, a thin gold mesh is placed in the uterine cavity, where it adapts precisely to its shape. The mucous membrane that causes bleeding clings tightly to the mesh and is sclerosed using heat. After sclerotherapy, the mesh is removed. This procedure takes place during a uterus endoscopy and can be performed on an outpatient basis.
